TWINS NEED A PART-TIME NANNY 3-DAYS A WEEK IN SCOTTSDALE!
FLW & Thompson Peak Pkwy:  fraternal twinsAdorable, sweet 4 week old twin newborn girls are in need of a caring, reliable nanny with excellent newborn experience to care for them 3 days a week:  Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 8AM-3PM with flexibility.  The babies were born 4 weeks early and are doing well, but Mom needs assistance getting the babies on a routine from an experienced nanny.  Inspite being born early, both of the babies are a little over 5-pounds now.  One baby does have a heart murmur and has visits to the cardiologist regularly, but overall, they are both healthy baby girls. Mom is pumping and supplementing so they both babies take bottles well.  The family does have a 3 year old daughter as well who attends preschool during the day, so the nanny will not need to care for her unless there is a day the preschool is closed or she is sick. Mom is home during the day or will be in and out.  No driving and no travel is needed.  No pets.  A night shift can be added if nanny has the availability to assist with the babies at night one night a week. The family can be flexible with the nanny’s schedule but the 3 day schedule of MTW is ideal.  Mom’s sister-in-law assists with caring for the girls on the other days. They have a casual atmosphere in their home and the ideal nanny is loving and patient with twin experience or experience caring for multiple children close in age.  Interviewing starts ASAP and the position begins as soon as they find the right  fit.  Compensation:  $15/hr. When my girls were ages one and two,

I’d been teaching preschool, teaching swim lessons, but I didn’t want to get a regular job that took me away from them full time. A friend gave me the idea of starting a nanny referral service, so in July, 1983, I began.  Initially it was mostly family day care homes, so every Thursday, Grandma babysat, and I made a loop around Phoenix, inspecting providers and their homes. Ten years later, the State of Arizona started offering free day care home referrals, CCR&R, no screening included, so I felt we were undone. But at the same time, nannies suddenly become popular. We called them “Traveling Babysitters” and charged a whopping $45 placement fee.

The rest is history but what makes Caring Nannies special?

What we do every day in our Scottsdale office

is part art and part science-it’s a craft. It’s primarily fueled by who we are as persons, our values, our passion, plus three decades of experience finding top-notch candidates. Our goal is to match that right one for each family. That’s the mastery of the craftsperson. We have developed a knowingness about the character and personality qualities that bring nurture into a family. It’s an art that we’ve polished and polished, as though with our hearts.

Young children will model the character and personality of the people they spend time with. That’s why character is our benchmark. Humility, joyfulness, creativity, punctuality, confidence, attentiveness, teachableness, a heart to serve, dedication, and reliability.

A caregiver with a PhD but without passion can’t teach a child nearly as much as someone with less schooling but with passion. Breakfast becomes an instant classroom as a two year old practices slicing a banana with a plastic knife, then cutting the circles into semi circles and quarters. Blueberries are added or subtracted as they are eaten.

A backyard becomes a nature lab
as earthworms are discovered, worm farms are stocked and library books and artwork revolve around learning about these simple creatures without which we could not exist.

We want you, our families
to be freed up to do the things that give you the life you want, so you can achieve the satisfaction and sense of fulfillment you deserve. A family that really works and works well!

What does your family need?
Peace of mind? Order? Time? Freedom? Expertise?
And remember, we’re more than a nanny service we also place domestic staff!

The difference between now and before the economic downturn is that instead of receiving 5-10 resumes for each position, today, we need to sort through dozens of resumes.  How do we go about matching the people who are best suited for your family?
How can personality testing help you in choosing the right nanny as well as securing an ongoing strong relationship with her?
Interestingly, many of our top tier nannies have their greatest strength in the “Supporter” or “Always there when you need them” Type “D” personality. The typical “D” personality doesn’t like change, and prefers to be given a set of guidelines to follow and they enjoy routine. They are very supportive of others and are the kind of person we turn to when we need advice. They are high in compassion and are happy and content with themselves and life in general. They are dependable, on time, adding balance and support in the home. We suspect that many of our clients are Type A personalities, described

as leaders, entrepreneurial, risk takers, independent, direct and to the point. They prefer to delegate routine tasks to others. Type “A” is often a business owner, manager, or in a position requiring a take charge, decisive, persistent person.
The “C” personality thrives on details, accuracy and takes life seriously. They dress impeccably, want to get the ‘facts’, are consistent, and predictable. They take a long time to make a decision, are deep, thoughtful and sensitive. They can get caught up in the details and not see the big picture.
“B” is the socializer, high energy one, who loves to be in a big group, and is the center of attention, and wants to have fun while working. They want to be liked, and can be sensitive. They are outgoing, persuasive, and talkative.

PERSONALITY OPPOSITES ATTRACT
Although opposites attract, they can clash. Opposites can complement each other if they try to understand each other’s perspective. Opposite personalities often marry and it works since they make up for the other’s weaknesses. However, if a parent is expecting the nanny to do things in a way that is opposite her personality, there can be conflict.
If a neat, precise “C” personality is micro-managing a nanny who is creative, gets out the play-doh, or finger-paints, makes  tents in the living room, and shoots paper airplanes, this may not work out for long. Nothing is “wrong” with either person, they just need to have more insight into each other’s personalities and find middle ground. If the Mom is inflexible and demands perfection, it won’t surprise us to see turnover, especially if the nanny is a strong “B” personality.
Every family and company probably has all 4 personalities, and each one’s gift is needed to balance out the dynamics. The key is having the right understanding to identify these traits so you have the best chance of successfully working with each other.
