Scottsdale Nanny

Thompson Peak Pkwy & Frank Lloyd Wright: This wonderful returning professional family of ours has a 7 year old son and a 2 year old toddler girl and they are seeking a proactive, flexible career nanny to join their household for a flexible full-time schedule to care for the toddler. The typical schedule is M-F from 7-5 or 8-6 OR M-TH 10 hour shifts 8-6 or 9-7 with some flexibility (to stay until 8 for the 7 year old’s activities on occasion). Guaranteed payment for 40 hrs per week. They are desiring a nanny with excellent toddler experience. Their 2 year old daughter is a very laid back easy-going toddler. She’s their angel baby,  is an excellent sleeper, is a very clever kid, loves to laugh, is extremely playful, talking in full sentences already , likes to do things like baking cookies and muffins, takes a music together online class, loves playing outdoors, and takes one long nap a day,  typically from 10:30 – 1 or 2PM and she goes to bed at 6:30PM. She also understands Spanish. Primary care for the toddler will be in the home and outdoors in their backyard and neighborhood.  They have a newly renovated playroom stocked with Montessori toys and activities and their neighborhood has 2 very nice pools and multiple playgrounds (McDowell Mountain Ranch).  She is taking swimming lessons on Sundays. Their 7 year old son is in 2nd grade and he goes to school at Basis Scottsdale Primary West and leaves the house by 7AM and gets picked up at 3:30 PM. He is a very smart boy and is described as being the “newscaster” of the family – always sharing knowledge and information and announcing what’s going on. He loves to watch animal shows, craves attention, and the most consistent regime works the best for him. The nanny will not have much interaction with him during the school year since he goes to school but Will pick him up from school daily and take him to activities (currently he has Akido at 4:30 on Tuesdays, basketball at 6:30 on Thursdays) . Dad is a lawyer and works from home. Mom is a physician at Mayo Clinic. The family is very Covid-cautious. Mom and Dad have been vaccinated and boosted and the children have completed their vaccination.  Covid vaccine and boosters are mandatory.  Nanny must be willing to take a home COVID test 2-3x per week (these are provided by the family and taken during paid hours. They have the Nanny take the test upon arrival and do house management duties while the test is pending before they take over child care.) Nanny will prepare the kids’ meals and also simple family meal prep is desired. 3 times a week the family uses Green Chef for their meals so preparing dinner during nap time is desired. Mom likes her time with the toddler in the morning and doesn’t leave for work until 8:15  so the nanny’s day would start between 8:00 -9AM. Occasional weekend availability is also desired since the Mom is on call 12 weekends a year although weekend availability is not mandatory, an occasional weekend shift as needed would be a perk.  The weekend availability is secondary to the M-F schedule. Pets:  2 dogs. Holiday and Vacation days are provided. If the family is gone during the week on vacation the Nanny may dog sit to maintain full pay for the week. Family has a car for the Nanny to use while working. This family is a seasoned Nanny family with a good working environment and well disciplined children with fun personalities. They value the role the Nanny plays in the development and life of their children and the atmosphere of the home. (There are two older children who are out of the house so family has had Nannies for over 17 years.) Compensation: $25-$28/hr. Interviewing now. Starts ASAP.  (REF#LSSC)
