Scottsdale Rd & Shea: This family is seeking a warm Nanny with five years experience needed for a family with a 2 year old and a 9 month old. Help with development with reading, music, arts and crafts, walks, park and pool. Duties include family laundry and ironing, light housekeeping (there is a housekeeper), driving children to activites, grocery shopping and other errands, occasional help with family meals. There will be some travel and some overnights with extra compensation, as well as $50 per month towards a cell phone. Schedule is: Mon, Tue, Fri Sat Sun 1pm to 9pm (Wed Thur off) $15+/hour. Their home is casual, they have two dogs which are Brittany Spaniels and a home office which occasional either father or mother may work from if their school schedules permit. They do have a housekeeper biweekly, and are seeking a full time Nanny for the baby. The babies are very easy to manage, are on an excellent schedule and very happy with lots of smiles. Candidates must be cultivated, educated, well rounded and mature. Someone willing to get on the floor and play with babies as they grow, and play age-appropriate activities as babies develop; someone with high standards of morals and values, and who loves babies and Nannying! Very light baby-related housekeeping requested. Schedule: 3-4 flexible days per week, for 3-4 hours each day, up to 12-16 hours per week. Salary: $15/hour
Cactus & Scottsdale Road: This athletic family is looking for an upbeat energetic Nanny ASAP for their three children ages 5, 9 and 14. There is 35 miles per week of driving, so the Nanny needs to enjoy driving. This family does not allow TV during the week, so she needs to enjoy keeping children entertained with board games, outside activities, bike riding, and having simple fun. During the summer she wants the kids to have fun, stay busy going to movies, the Water Park, library, any fun activities. During the school year (hours stay the same) the kids will come home from school around 3pm, and then will need help with home work, chores, snacks etc. Mom does want some basic housekeeping; laundry, cleaning up kitchen, straightening up, which can all be done before kids get home from school or in the summer while they are there. They have a very large home, and are very casual, laid back people. They have 3 outside dogs, and they do have a housekeeper as well. Their ideal Nanny would have integrity and high moral standards. They want someone to become an addition to their family, not that this is just another job. Someone casual, caring, self-motivated, and someone who can relate to pre-teens! This obviously needs to be a Nanny who has excellent newborn/infant/toddler experience, with references. This person needs to be patient, organized, great at multi-tasking, and able to engage and play with two babies at once. Responsibilities will include preparing meals for 17 month old (3 month old still taking bottles), doing babies laundry, and keeping the babies rooms and play areas clean, organized and safe. Parents to do not expect Nanny to do any housecleaning g for laundry for them, strictly child-related duties only; however, the expectation is that they keep all the areas that they use neat and tidy at the end of the day, etc. Parents may alternate day’s home 1-2 times per week, there are no pets, and no housekeeper. Nanny must be energetic and healthy and able to keep up with both children, as well as be comfortable staying home with the children during the hot summer months, except early morning walks to park. They have two dogs and a housekeeper weekly, no travel required, but there will be a lot of transporting of the children to and from school and various extracurricular activities. All the children are in various sports and clubs, and so a car will be provided so Nanny can pick children up from school, take to their activities, etc. Other responsibilities include children’s laundry, grocery shopping, running other various errands, preparing snacks, helping children with homework, making sure they complete their chores, etc. Nanny must be patient, yet firm, very loving, understanding, energetic (very active position) and caring. The children are very responsible; Nanny will mainly care for and supervise them. They have a Housekeeper every two weeks, and no pets. Their ideal Nanny would be creative, honest, loving, energetic, outgoing, and reliable; detail oriented and has infant experience. Responsibilities will include watching one or both children at any given time, taking them to play dates, the park and other planned activities, implementing educational and art activities, bath and putting to bed, enforcing house rules, changing diapers and eventually potty training. Someone who can be active with the kids mentally and physically; typically a “big sister/brother” quality that can create a warm relationship and provide a structured environment at home- preferably someone who might have a background in elementary/secondary Education, Pediatric nursing or similar, who has ambitions to be with kids and make a difference in their lives. The children are 6 and 4 years old, and Mom works full-time in research and needs assistance. The most overbearing duties will be transporting children when Mom cannot be two places at one time, and willing to provide care on extended hours (i.e. winter/spring breaks from school, conferences) which can be scheduled in advance. Responsibilities will include picking up children from school, motivating them to initiate homework, prepare dinner, occasionally bathing children and getting them ready for bed; also preparing next day lunches, rinsing dishes, start a load of laundry, fold clothing, etc. Occasionally transporting children to activities after school might be needed.
