Research in the brain development of young children demonstrates that the learning pathways are more than 75% established by the time the child is five years old. During these early years, the potential for, or limitation of later learning is established. Quality childcare results in children with high self-esteem who grow into happy adults able to manage, adapt to, and influence the world in which they live. Caring Nannies has partnered with the Childcare Educational Institute, CEI, a nonprofit educational institution. Using the latest research in child development and the impact of social and economic conditions on the development of young children, Childcare Educational Institute, through the generosity of its donors offers a tuition-free, college credit, online child development/childcare training program. Anyone responsible for the care of a child is encouraged to enroll, including parents, daycare teachers, nannies, au pairs, child development students, family daycare providers, home visitors, childcare volunteers and informal caregivers. This program is the only online early childhood education program in the United States accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
