Meticulous Screening
Caring Nannies performs two tiers of screening, and we only refer 15% of all the nannies who apply with us.

Tier One Screening
This level of screening is performed BEFORE you meet the applicant:
- Phone Screening to verify that they have at least two years experience, can give a one year or longer commitment, are good communicators, etc.
- The nannies fill out a five page Application about their experience and family background.
- Personal interview with additional questions related to their field of expertise.
- Safety Quiz completed in the office
- Child Care Competency Exam
- A 31 question phone interview is conducted with at least two of their references.
- Educational verification of last level completed
- Non-Childcare Work References confirmed with special attention to gaps in work history
Tier Two Screening
This level of screening is performed AFTER you have made an offer to a Nanny and takes two days usually:
- Remaining references are completed, if not already completed
- Social security trace, aka People Search, going back 7 years
- Seven year County and National Criminal Background Checks
- Sex Offender Check
- Five Year Driving Record
- A Personality Assessment along with extra interview questions related to her particular report.
- CPR and First Aid Classes must be updated. The nannies have 30 days from their interview with us to complete this. Caring Nannies follows up with the Nanny to make certain this is completed.
